Executive Assistant & PA to CEO
With my Grandparents owning an hotel and my Mum her own Outside Catering business it was natural to follow the route of Hospitality. Having spent school holidays peeling potatoes, making beds and setting tables to checking guests in and out and serving liquid refreshment (poured my first pint at 12 – you could back then ????) it was a simple move to join a Management Training Programme within a local Privately-owned hotel. Once experience of how each department was ran I joined one of the largest Chain Hotel Groups and achieved the position of being one of their youngest employed Food and Beverage Managers. With the company I enjoyed working in a wide variety of style of hotel and locations, but the draw of home pulled. Back to Ayr I came and enjoyed a couple of years within Tourism before moving to our local Racecourse where I secured and co-ordinated race sponsorship and hospitality.
I have been proudly part of Pillow for just over 2 year.
My birthday falls in the zodiac sign of Cancer and this is highlighted by my love of anything to do with Sea and Water. Name a water sport and I will have tried or plan to try it. I love travel and experiencing new sights and foods. I am not a tourist in the sun, much prefer to eat and drink as the locals do but did draw the line at Raw Fish Eyeball when staying with a family in Halkidiki – Yuck. My competitive side comes out in the Pub Quiz and I like to test the old grey matter with a good crossword
I am so lucky to have Ayrshire. Truly offers something for everyone. Sandy beaches, stunning coast line, walking trails and cycle paths for all levels. Rural countryside and bustling high streets. Places of historical interests from Scotland’s Bard Robert Burns birthplace and famous Tam O’Shanter bar to Castles to William Wallace’s Heel Print within a stepping stone over the River Ayr. So many different styles of entertainment, Horse Racing, Dog Track, Go Carting, Live Theatre entertainment. Some of the best restaurants and watering holes within Scotland. Last but by no means least there are just over half a century of Golf Course to play
